I'm so excited!

Oh. My. Gosh!

How about those Chieeeeeefs!? If you're not a football fan I will forgive you. But you should just become KC fan (join the bandwagon!) and have fun watching the game in two weeks. The Chiefs head to Super Bowl LV where they will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (insert smelly face). I'm so excited! But really--I just want it to be a good game. No seriously. I do. Okay, I want it to be a good game and the Chief's win. There. That's the honest truth (insert grin here).

As if it couldn't get any better, today the ALA announced all of their 2021 book award winners. Yipee!!!! I can't even begin to describe just how excited I get when there are book award lists involved. Time to create that master list! Today was a little different since I wasn't at the announcement and I couldn't sit and watch the live stream (I was teaching!). But the anticipation was still there. And guess what? I'm pleased to report we already have 6 of the this year's big winners already in the JMS collection! That makes me to happy.

Now, I'm spending time this week doing a mini-lesson on the awards but I wanted to share it with you here since the first group of students didn't even know which books won awards.
