Did you have a good break? Get rest and a little sunshine?
Did you read something lovely? Funny? Interesting? I have so many questions!

First, I finished When You Trap a Tiger and was satisfied. I love that it's a solid Korean story with references to language, food, and traditions. I love the fantastic realism that holds that story of love and family together. This will be great for readers who love Rick Riordan but don't need as much adventure.

Do you ever just need to read something silly? This is a great choice. I thought the story was charming and was delighted by the humor and lesson about the importance of friendship and forgiveness. If you love books with animals as characters you will treasure this quick read.

There is so much that I LOVE about this book. The story is set in Indiana and feels very midwestern familiar. And I was smitten with the main character, Liz Lightly. She's got grit, and spunk, and courage. I found the writing to be painfully honest and the struggles she was going through felt raw and real. This is a keeper and will be a favorite for many.
Reese's book club pick is another gem!

But All Thirteen might have been my unexpected favorite read from break. I was captivated by the story of the Thai soccer team's survival trapped in the belly of a cave. Their harrowing journey to safety is unbelievable. It isn't hard to figure out why this book swept the non-fiction awards this year.
I dare you to put it down once you start reading it!
I can't wait to start reading something new. I feel like I'm on a springtime binge.
Happy reading ya'll!
