I'm so happy it's SPRING!!
Where are the flower emojis when I need them?
Along with the spring flowers our Canada Goose pair are back and nesting. I will be sure to share pictures once there are goslings. I feel like we need to name them! I'll keep you posted.
I have lots of books in the cue right now. Some new, one extra challenging, and one I'm recommitting to on today.

I started this yesterday and I'll be honest, it's not what I expected. The print is a bit small, the writing is complex, and the story is slow to develop. I'm trusting the author will take me someplace amazing since it's a National Book Award winner, but right now....I'm skeptical.

I started this last week between meetings and didn't really plan to read the whole book. I started reading the first page and was captivated. I'm so intrigued to find out what is happening to the main character. She's been sent to a new school under some strange circumstances. Maybe a school shooting? I don't want to read the blurb now--I just want to experience the story organically. I'll let you know!

OMG...I finally got the audio of The Diviners Book 4! I love, love, love this series and author, Libba Bray is a personal favorite. I have read the other titles so listening to the reader makes the story feel new. I'm not sure how I feel about this but so far I don't hate it. The story is as creepy as ever! I positootly recommend!

I'm determined to read all of this year's big non-fiction winners (especially after I enjoyed All Thirteen so much). This is the story of America's journey to the moon. I am intrigued by the comprehensive storytelling and warming up to the writing style. It is dense but remarkably easy to understand.

I'll be honest, I this title ended up sidelined for a bit. But I grabbed it this morning with renewed determination to finish. It's a war story and I'm already feeling like it may be a tear jerker. It's about the war in Bosnia so I'm interested to learn more about the content but apprehensive about the heartbreak. People can be so terrible--especially in war.
What are you reading today? I hope it's something good.
