What a great weekend! I'm a huge football fan (Go Chiefs!) so I was excited to cheer my team onto victory yesterday. And I also really love my job so life is feeling good.
As you may remember, I am a book juggler. What does that even mean? Well, I am always reading multiple books simultaneously. Juggling! I have a morning coffee book, an upstairs book, and an audiobook on rotation. Sometimes I have one or two more but those are the three that are always in the works. Here's what I'm up to right now:

Horror is a favorite this time of year. Ms. Schnelle recommended this and I can't put it down. It's creepy with a side of Chicago ghosts. How fun is that!? I'm already delighted as I read and Google all of the different haunted places in Chi-town. I have done a ghost tour in New Orleans but now I feel like I want to take one closer to home. I can't wait to figure out the story of this creepy ghost boy and why it's lurking around our main character.
Just remember--don't turn out the lights!

I've read some other titles by Jennifer Holm so I'm excited to get into this audio book. I've just started and so far the characters live on Mars. How crazy is that? Something has crash landed and the kids are about to go on an adventure to discover what has happened. I'm thinking a lion? I know, I know. It's on the cover so maybe that's cheating?

I love reading non-traditional formats of text. Letters, announcements, emails, pictographs. I feel like the books read quickly and it's fun to puzzle out the story when it's presented in a different way. This one is a delight. It's about a boy named Thaddeus and he's gotten himself into big trouble. In fact, he's in isolation for the rest of the year! I can't wait to find out what he did. It's funny and light. Perfect after a long day at school.
As always, happy reading!
