Fall finally feels like its coming. I love watching the trees change to their beautiful hues, but I'll admit that I'm not as excited about the cooler temperatures. At the very least it's a good time to curl up and read with some hot cocoa.

As you may have already read in my previous post, I've been pretty focused on comics this month. But that doesn't mean I'm not reading anything else.

The Patron Saints of Nothing is a past National Book Award Finalist that has been on my to be read list for a long time. I finally took the audio plunge and it's been so worth it. The main character, Jay, goes back to visit his homeland in the Philippines, after the death of his cousin. He begins to unravel the mystery surrounding his life and death. It's gripping and filled with suspense. I can't wait to finish.

I'll admit. I have only read the first page but I'm already hooked. I rediscovered this title when I was getting materials ready for the Hugo Award display. I flipped it open ('cause who can resist a story about baking and magic?) and started chuckling straight away. It went from the display into my bag. I can't wait to read this next!

Happy reading everyone!
