It is such an exciting and busy time of the year for me as a librarian. My shelves are bursting with new titles (good problem) and now I have to find time to read all of the new books AND simultaneously get them into the hands of their perfect readers. It's a joy in my job.
If you are friends with me on Goodreads then you probably already know that my reading has stalled a bit. I'll confess that I only read one book over spring break (hanging head). One.

M is for Monster is a solid graphic novel, reads quickly and has a little Frankenstein feel. I thought it would be creepier than it was but fits perfectly in our middle school collection. I like the art and recommend this for anyone interested in sibility rivalry and relationships. And of course, zombies.

I have been waiting to read this new Tiffany D. Jackson book since it came out so I was SO EXCITED when it was available (finally) in audiobook. This is a new telling of the Steven King classic, Carrie. High school, prom, and mean girls (like Carrie) with added magic, social justice, and race issues create a chilling new tale. I cannot stop listening to this thriller.
That it for now but I am hopeful that spring will put the spring back in my reading (pun intended).
Happy reading!
