I'm a book juggler. I know, I know. How is that safe? I don't mean I literally juggle them. I mean that I am often reading many books at the same time--like a juggler. I typically have a different book for areas of my house (upstairs, downstairs) plus an audio book for when I'm driving. This usually means I've got three or four going most of the time.

Right now I'm not reading as quickly as I was over the summer but I'm really enjoying the range of topics.

Guts & Glory is a readable novelization of The American Revolution. This is perfect for my goal of taking ownership of my learning by reading more non-fiction books.

The Invincible Summer of Juniper Jones is historical fiction. It is about a young boy who spends the summer in rural Alabama as the only African -American in town. The experience is painful and challenging, but for Juniper Jones. The brightest and most welcoming person he's ever met. I cannot stop reading this story and it's one that I can't wait to see what happens but I also don't want to end my relationship with the characters. It's such a reader's problem!

The Miracle and Tragedy of the Dionne Quintuplets has taken a bit of a backseat to Guts & Glory. It's really good though so I can't wait to get back to discovering what happens to these 5 sisters!

Kindred is one of my audio books from AudioBookSync I am delighted by this historical fiction time travel classic.
