2020 as a year was a challenge overall, filled with so much upheaval and worry that reading took on a new importance in my daily life. It served as a source of routine and escape. Reading kept me connected to friends and made the distance between us seem a little smaller.
Goodreads is a fun way to keep track of what your reading. I especially love the "My Year in Books" data that it generates. Here is a look at my year in review:
*I read 150 books totalling 28,989 pages.
*The shortest books I read was 16 pages but the longest was 482--with an average length of 193 pages.
*The most popular book I read was Just Mercy and the least popular was Pompeii 79 (not a surprise--I thought it was the worst book I read all year).
What it wasn't tell you is which titles I like the most. I keep my own journal records for this and it's always exciting to think back over all of the different titles and consider which ones are my favorites. Here are my Top 10 of 2020:

What was your favorite book of the year?
Happy reading in 2021!
